August 2026
Ayodele Daniel, Orimolade Pelumi and Ayeni Precious were named in Nigeria’s 14-man Junior YellowGreens squad for the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup Africa Qualifier Division 2, held in Rwanda from 9 to 15 August 2026 against Uganda, Ghana, Rwanda, Mozambique and Sierra Leone.
All three are in the IMCC squad for the 2026 season — a direct return on the club’s youth development work. See the squad page.

The club website is live again. The club's history, objectives, squad, trustees and projects have all been restored, and fixtures, results and match reports will be published here through the season.

May 2022
Ibadan Metropolitan Cricket Club won the Division Two title of the 2021/22 Club Cricket Committee League, finishing ahead of Island Titans Cricket Club to earn promotion to Division One. It remains the club's proudest league achievement.
The season ran to more than 160 matches across roughly 26 clubs in both divisions, with the closing ceremony held at the Tafawa Balewa Square Cricket Oval in Lagos in late May 2022. Photographs from the celebration are in the gallery.

Players developed through the IMCC ranks featured in the squad representing Nigeria in the ICC U19 African regional qualifiers, and in Nigeria's first appearance at the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup in South Africa in 2020.

The annual Easter festival at the University of Ibadan cricket pitch, run with the University of Ibadan Cricket Club — two days of relaxed cricket bringing together players, friends and families from across the Ibadan cricket community.

The club has maintained a working relationship with the Nigeria Cricket Federation, including hosting the Vice-President of the Federation, in support of the club's youth development and schools work.
