“Olu'tokun” made a relatively late acquaintance with cricket. Having never heard of the game, his first contact came in his second year at the University of Ibadan, after a muscle injury ended his hopes of making the 2002 NUGA swimming team. He fell in love with the game and made the cricket team for the same games, though he did not get a match. That disappointment spurred long hours in the nets. His hard work paid off with selection for the Oyo State team at the 19th National Sports Festival in Abuja in 2004, and an international call-up in 2005 to fly the Green-White-Green for his country.

He came into contact with the game at the University of Ibadan, encouraged by Odepii, with Dapo Adegoke teaching him the rudiments. An unfortunate facial injury during camping for WAUG slowed his progress; when he recovered, Okon Ukpong rekindled his love for the game. He debuted for IMCC in 2005, gained admission to Obafemi Awolowo University in 2006, and made the OAUCC team for the 2007 NUGA games in Maiduguri, winning bronze. He went on to captain OAUCC at two NUGA games — Nsukka 2009 (bronze again) and Benin 2011.

Introduced to the game in 1994 at a summer coaching clinic at Liberty Stadium organised by Government College Ibadan, he went on to open both the batting and the bowling for the school team, and represented Powell House at inter-house level. He played three editions of the NNPC Cricket Competition and two of the KIGS Competition, and won Best Player of the Year in 1998 from the Sport Writers Association of Government College Ibadan. After a six-year break from the game, he returned to cricket by joining IMCC in 2005.

Started playing in secondary school and was picked for the schools Howzat competition — KIGS 1996 — as a scorer. Biyi went on to play two more years for the school team before leaving Government College Ibadan. He has played the game ever since, and has been with IMCC since the club's inception.

Learned the game in 1993 at Government College Ibadan, playing for Grier House and a club within the school before being invited into the school team five years later. He represented GCI at two editions of KIGS — the Howzat Foundation quadrangular tournament between King's College Lagos, Igbobi College, Government College Ibadan and St. Gregory's College — and at the annual NNPC tournament. After several years away from the game he joined IMCC and rekindled his passion. Known for his big hitting until he broke his left clavicle in training at the TBS Cricket Oval, Lagos, in late 2018.

Learned the game very early in the 1980s and played through secondary school, even though he did not attend a cricket-playing school. He was part of the University of Ibadan cricket team in the early 2000s. “Odepii”, as he is fondly called, is a pioneer member of Ibadan Metropolitan Cricket Club and serves as a board member. He has since moved to the United Kingdom and plays for London Nigerians Cricket Club.
